The Oberoi Grand’s lunch buffet is bursting with flavor with a touch of grandeur

A preview of ThreeSixtyThree’s appetizers at The Oberoi Grand

The view from ThreeSixtyThree with the shiny glass panel in the ceiling filling the whole room with a pleasant glow makes for an inviting lunch setup at the Oberoi Grand. To experience their large buffet, we settled into one of the half-moon shaped lounges with a refreshing glass of Southside. The mixologist perfectly blended some otherwise very common ingredients such as ginger juice, lemon, apple juice, lime juice and sugar syrup to create this chilled concoction that also has a fiery version.

The appetizer section offers delicious classic antipasti, fresh green salads and small bites including the ever-popular shrimp cocktail, Thai marinated chicken with hot basil, chicken cobb salad and fish salad with citrus.

The main courses offered many options in Indian, Mughal, Mediterranean and Oriental cuisines and we started with the herb crusted bekti with pesto vegetables which had an awesome creamy texture. Next, we paired the must-have pea pulao with a tasty mutton curry that brings comfort to every bite. We loved their sautéed fillet in a sweet basil sauce and you can try this starter with plain rice. If you want to stick with pure Chinese, there are also several options in the Asian section.

Vegetarian options were equally good with pulses, paneer and potato dishes featured on the buffet. We opted for Bhindi Do Pyaza and Gatte Ka Saag which go perfectly with steamed rice. The dessert section will leave you spoiled for choice with a mouth-watering selection of Indian and Western sweets and we succumbed quite easily to the peanut butter bread pudding and a bite of blueberry mascarpone pie. The peach and apple mousse, shaped like a quidditch ball with golden wings, was irresistible. 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
