A takeaway street food in Lytham made such an impression with diners that it garnered 348 five-star reviews out of a total of 353.
Elvin Asher and Charlotte Natfel created their own restaurant, Elvin’s, during the pandemic in central Lytham.
The food is inspired by traditional Middle Eastern cuisine and serves dishes like Pakistani scrambled eggs, shawarmas, Buddha bowls, and even simpler things well made like steak and fries.
It caters to vegans and aims to offer food at an affordable price. The community’s response was described as “extremely favorable” when it opened during a pandemic and this has continued to be the case since the restaurant proper opened.
The most recent reviews describe it as “fantastic”, “amazing” and “the perfect choice for lunch” and the five reviews on TripAdvisor that did not go for five stars have instead chosen “very good” or “average”.
Charlotte told LancsLive in February: “We were obviously worried about opening a business in unprecedented times, but the time when takeout is so popular means the business has exceeded our hopes and expectations.
“The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, we have established a good network of regulars as well as a constant flow of new faces. Through marketing and social media we have a large following which inevitably by word of mouth branched out into something even bigger.
“We feel overwhelmed by the feedback we have had once people have tried the food. It has always been a dream of ours to have our own business and I have always thought Elvin’s food was exceptional. , but for this to be confirmed by the general public is very demeaning.
“Our reviews not only praise the food, but point out how friendly and efficient our staff are. We are very fortunate to have such loyal and dedicated staff members. We are also greatly appreciated for the cleanliness as well. as for the neat interior decoration and the ambient atmosphere. “

After reading the great reviews on Tripadvisor, I called this morning for breakfast, delicious mashed avocado and poached eggs on a slice of thick toast. I also bought a very tasty take out lamb shawarma to eat at home. Both meals were wonderful. Elvin was pleasant and helpful and the price very reasonable. I will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hidden gem.
