Sometimes you just need a little comfort food in your life. If there’s anyone in the Midwest who knows their comfort food (and knows it very well), they are Amish – and wouldn’t you know there is a buffet to die for filled to the brim with amazing Amish food. This is one of the best comfort food you can find in Hoosier State, and you will definitely like it (it is literally the # 1 restaurant in Loogootee). Stoll’s Lakeview restaurant is possibly Indiana’s best Amish buffet – plus it has amazing views from the dining room!
In these uncertain times, keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket-to-visit list at a later date.
The outdoors alone could bring you closer, even if you are not aware of the delicious delicacies that are there. Once inside, however, you are transported back in time to an old-fashioned sideboard that you will likely recognize immediately from your childhood.
It is far of broken, anyway; the food here is head to toe Amish classics and all the best comfort food you could hope for.
For example, on Mondays you can choose between fried chicken, baby back ribs, braised roast, etc. On Wednesdays, baked chicken, white fish, minute steak, sausage and sauerkraut, and more are up for grabs. The list is long and it varies depending on the day of the week.
As if this place wasn’t enough of a dream come true for those of us who really like to binge once in a while! Every item on the menu here is delicious. It is truly the jewel of Loogootee cuisine.
Great food, great times, a great menu and a great location? We don’t think it gets much better than that.
The dessert menu, like the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, is varied and delicious. We certainly won’t judge if you go back for seconds (or thirds).
