Paradise found! Unlimited food and beer at Buffet Paradise Steamboat & BBQ Buffet in Tai Seng
I have a weakness for steamboat meals. It’s about enjoying the company around you and the social activity of shared cooking rather than cooking skills in itself. So you can understand my excitement when I received an invitation for a preview of the best all-you-can-eat BBQ steamer and buffet in Heavenly buffet dinner (S$29.90 per adult Monday-Thursday, S$32.90 Friday-Sunday and public holidays; S$19.90 for children daily).
With indoor and outdoor seating available at Wonderful food courtit is a buffet for all seasons.
Your meal at Buffet Paradise begins with a tasting platter of green-lipped mussels, fish-shaped surimi and flower cheese Tofulobster balls, toman fish slices, false abalone slices, Sambal Lala in a mini aluminum pan, a roll of squid, 4 types of marinated meat, a basket of garden greens and 2 types of assorted noodles. Oh, what a mouthful, literally!
The buffet is huge and there is something for almost everyone. There are 6 types of marinated chicken and pork in their House Signature Marinade, as well as mala with a choice of Shabu Shabu Pork neck and beef slices included.
My family and I loved that there was also a free condiment stream at Buffet Paradise. We’ve mixed and matched our favorite flavors to create our own custom meat sauces.
Fresh seafood your thing? Enjoy Hotate (scallop), lala, mussels, squid roll and slices of fresh toman fish. Shrimp lovers can have both cooked Vannamei prawns with sweet prawn flavor and raw peeled butterfly prawns.
Stock up on healthy and crunchy greens, mushrooms, surimi and Kyoto Yuba (sweet bean curd leaves) to your heart’s and stomach’s content. Diners can also have one or both varieties of soup: Tom Yum and herb chicken. the tom yum was spicy as heck! Being the resident spice wimp of my family, I chickened out for the chicken. I found it very tasty and very enjoyable!
And then, my friends, comes the coup de grace (for me, at least)— endless scoops of ice cream. There still aren’t many things that get automatic approval from me, but all-you-can-eat ice cream is definitely one of them.
The price also includes a free debit of fruity cordial drinks. Fancy a beer with your delicious meal? You can opt for a free circulation of Hoegaarden Wit-Blanche Original Beer and Beck’s Pilsner (S$15).
Our outing to Buffet Paradise was really fun and very filling. I was impressed with the quality of the ingredients, the flavor of the meat and seafood, and especially the service. It all came together to make for a wonderful dinner and enjoyable family time. For a family of four, this is a great dining option any day of the week.
