A new global street cafe has just opened at London Road in the city.
Street Taste Co aims to give diners the chance to taste authentic street food from around the world, prepared with fresh produce imported from over 10 different countries every week.
This is Street Taste Co’s second branch, following the launch of the original branch at Belgrave Road in 2018.
You will find street food such as pani puri, tandoori chili chips and a toasted Bombay sandwich, hot desserts including hot cookie dough, as well as rolled ice cream and fresh juices.

According to co-owner Ronak Karia, all ice cream is made fresh as you watch, using real fruit. Coconut ice cream is even served in a fresh coconut.
“We want our customers to experience global street food in one place – ‘the world at their fingertips’,” Ronak told LeicestershireLive.
“Our founder, a skilled young chef, has traveled the world in search of natural beauties and mouth-watering flavors to bring street food and desserts from all over the world. Everything from our fresh Costa Rican coconuts, to Ugandan sugar cane and even chili powder use comes from the highest quality suppliers and always using sustainable measures. “
According to Ronak, the stores aim to reproduce the ambience of the streets of Bangkok, Kampala or India.
“Once you enter our stores you will be greeted with an explosion of energy and color. We pride ourselves on providing an experience and our decor has a big role to play.
“We have swings, monkeys, zebras, tuk tuks and a whole world on the wall! It’s a fun place that everyone can enjoy. “
The London Road store is slightly larger than the original Belgrave Road store and can accommodate over 30 customers.
Street Taste Co in London Road is open Tuesday through Sunday, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
