New Five Guys fast food restaurant to open at Center in Livingston

Popular fast food chain Five Guys has announced plans to open at the Livingston Center.

The American burger chain will open its 12th restaurant in Scotland and its fourth on the east coast.

Five Guys are preparing to open their new store in the restaurant district of the West Lothian Shopping and Food Complex.

The burger restaurant will open alongside fanatics of peri-peri Nandos, and authentic Japanese cuisine, Wagamama’s.

Five Guys was established in 1986 by the Murrell family in Virginia and launched in the UK in 2013, opening in Covent Garden on July 4th.

So far, there are 113 Five Guys restaurants across the UK, and the Livingston branch is sure to be a popular hit with locals.

On the Facebook Livingston Our Town page, the announcement for the new restaurant has been posted and comments have gone crazy for the news.

Over 1,000 comments were made, with one user saying, “Omg can’t wait. There isn’t any other place that has milkshakes like five guys.”

Another Facebook user commented: “The best fast food burger I have ever eaten. Enjoy!”

Not everyone was happier with the news, however, as one comment read, “Just what Livingston needs, another healthy burger place.”

Another Facebook user questioned the integrity of the ingredients in Five Guys, saying, “What do they do when someone has a peanut allergy? Peanut oil isn’t even the best to use. “

Overall, the reaction to the news has been mixed, but there is certainly a lot of reaction to the news of this new West Lothian restaurant.
