New Burger Boi fast food restaurant opening in Leicester – and jobs are available

‘Crushed’ California burgers and buttermilk fried chicken will be on the menu when Leicester’s new Burger Boi restaurant opens. The fast food restaurant is due to open next month in London Road – in the former home of Noodle House.

According to local franchisees Sandie and Inda Basra, they want to bring “the California vibe of mashed beef burgers and buttermilk chicken burgers and an amazing breakfast menu” to Leicester. In addition to signature products, waffles, pancakes, milkshakes, loaded fries and desserts will also be available.

Sandie says the full menu is constantly evolving with new recipes and flavors, catering to all tastes. All meats used will be halal.

Burger Boi launched in Wolverhampton in June 2021 and claims to be the home of ‘next level’ mashed burgers and fried chicken. According to the website, mashed burgers are created by coating the grill with mustard, before mashing the beef to seal in the caramelization.

They are seasoned with salt and pepper and American cheese, which melts instantly, is added on top. It is then piled into a toasted bun with Burger Boi sauce, crunchy pickles and shredded lettuce.

Fried Chicken is made from free-range chicken, dipped in buttermilk, double-dipped in Burger Boi Seasoned Flour, then fried. Customers can also enjoy Bad Boi milkshakes, which are “decadently topped” and handcrafted from British dairy ice cream.

In addition to the Wolverhampton branch, there are now franchise stores in Coventry, Scott Arms, Wylde Green and Harborne in the West Midlands. A Sutton Coldfield restaurant is expected to open soon.

The new Leicester branch will be the first Burger Boi in the East Midlands. Sandie and Inda are currently looking for staff for the new restaurant and say they have 15 positions available.

The roles they recruit for include head chef, sous chef, chef de partie and front of house. If you would like to apply for a position, you can email your CV to: [email protected]
