Natural Born Juicers opens healthy cafe on Broad Ripple

Mass Ave’s. The popular Natural Born Juicers juice bar has opened a second location, this one on Broad Ripple.
The new store at 882 East Coil St., which opened July 18, is near the Cornell Avenue intersection, one block from the Monon Trail.
Like the original Mass Ave. store, this Natural Born Juicers serves smoothies, cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices, cold-brewed coffee, coconut drinks, ginger and weed shots. wheat, hot drinks and light foods such as soups, vegan salads and fruit balls. Natural Born Juicers also offers cleansing juices.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Laura Beatus and her husband, Corey, started Natural Born Juicers in 2010. They previously operated one of New York’s first juice bars, Lucky’s Juice Joint.
In Indianapolis, they first served juice at the Indy-area Farmer’s Market. They also opened a kiosk at the City Market. This juice stand closed in the fall of 2013. The Mass Ave. Natural Born Juicers opened in spring 2014.
The couple source local ingredients for their drinks. Specialty and DIY blends are available. Both 85 and Sunny contain pineapple, kale, cilantro, bee pollen and apple. The Allergy Slayer smoothie is a blend of mango, banana, bee pollen, honey and almond milk. Add supplements like turmeric and hemp protein to drinks.
On the food side, the bowls include the Zen Matcha Bowl with matcha, strawberry, granola, almonds, chia seeds, goji berries, grated coconut, maple syrup, banana, orange and black sesame.
