Sweetgreen, a national salad chain with a cult partner and a celebrity – tennis star Naomi Osaka – opens her long-planned West Palm Beach location at Square Tuesday.

The fast-casual restaurant with Washington DC roots was originally scheduled to open in November in the plaza, then known as Rosemary Square. It debuts in the space between the Casper and Tommy Bahama stores.

Sweetgreen's menu features a variety of salads and hot bowls.

Sweetgreen features nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor dining space, an outdoor patio, and a menu focused on seasonal specialties. The West Palm Beach menu will include specialties like Steelhead Remoulade, which combines roasted rainbow trout, shredded kale and cabbage, chopped romaine, red onions, tomatoes, sunflower seeds spices, lemon and a remoulade vinaigrette. Seasonal specials will be on the menu until March. 30.

Locals can also expect to see Sweetgreen’s Guacamole Greens, a bowl of deconstructed guacamole with roasted chicken, on the menu along with the brand’s most popular bowls, like the Miso Bowl and Crispy Chicken Salad bowl.

The salad-loving place joins a mini-wave of health-conscious eateries in The Square. They include Dr. Andrew Weil’s real food kitchen, Plant and Pura Vida.

On opening day, Sweetgreen will welcome its new West Palm Beach home with a good neighborly gesture: for every meal sold that day, the restaurant will donate a meal to Palm Beach Harvest to help local families in need.
