Korean fast food chain Mom’s Touch permanently closes all outlets in Singapore, Lifestyle News
If you’re craving Korean fried chicken, there will be one less option to choose from – fast-food chain Mom’s Touch has closed all of its outlets in Singapore.
He announced the closures in a one-sentence Facebook post on Feb. 10, writing that he was officially ceasing business the same day.
Known for its hand-fried and breaded chicken, the popular chain previously had three outlets: Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ), The Centrepoint and Eastwood Centre.
Although Mom’s Touch did not specify the reasons for its closure, No Signboard Group subsidiary Hawker QSR, which ran the fast-food chain, said on February 9 that it was unable to continue its operations. activities because of his responsibilities, The Business Times reported.
By February 3, No Signboard had also received letters of demand from landlords for more than $176,000.
This amount was accrued from unpaid rent at two Mom’s Touch outlets, PLQ and The Centrepoint.
In August 2019, Mom’s Touch entered the fried chicken scene in Singapore with a bang as customers lined up at its PLQ outlet to sample their famous chicken.
Although it is withdrawing from the Singapore market for now, the chain still has more than 1,200 stores in South Korea and a store in the United States.
