Ice cream and more: KFC’s Japanese buffet has amazed netizens
Whenever we go on holiday abroad, it’s always fun to spot the outlets of our favorite brands in new countries. Whether it’s McDonald’s or Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), these fast food giants can be found in many countries around the world. If you check out their menu; however, you will find that there is a stark contrast to their Indian outlets. These fast food chains often customize and modify their menus according to the tastes and preferences of the local people. Recently, a video showed us KFC Japan’s sumptuous buffet menu. The video was shared on Instagram reels by popular comedian Maydaysan on his handle @maydaysann. “This KFC in Japan is AMAZING,” he wrote in the caption. The clip has received over 5.3 million views and 286,000 likes since the time it was shared.
In the video, the comedian gave us a tour of the entire KFC store in Japan. Rather than the usual snacks, this KFC had a buffet with lots of choices. There was ice cream, pizza, pasta, fried rice, corn, potato fries, crispy chicken, potatoes, maple donuts and pancakes. There were also croissants, chicken curry, corn soup and salads at the KFC outlet in Japan. Additionally, a separate dessert section was also available. The cost of the KFC Japan buffet was 2,100 yen or Rs. 1,225 approximately.

Netizens found the buffet served at KFC Japan quite unique and interesting. Several reacted to it in the comments section. Several wanted to know if every KFC outlet had this spread in Japan, to which users clarified that it did not. However, the meal indeed looked quite delicious. “As a Japanese living overseas, I can tell you that Japanese KFC is 1,000,000 times tastier than those in the United States,” one user commented. Another said, “Where in Japan is it? I live in Tokyo and love KFC but I’ve never seen this!”
