German fast food chain Doner Kebab to open new outlet in Sutton Coldfield
A fast-growing fast food chain has presented plans to open a new outlet in Birmingham on a former banking site.
Germany’s Doner Kebab has applied for a new restaurant and takeaway to open in the former Cynergy Bank premises at Sutton Coldfield’s Parade, under The Rhodehouse.
The new outlet will have ‘kiosk, banquet and high social table’ seating with a counter facing the Parade and a delivery driver side window facing Holland Street. There will also be toilets for men and women as well as toilets accessible to people with disabilities.

The company opened its first outlet in Berlin in 1989 and now has over 90 outlets across the UK, with another 20 listed as ‘coming soon’.
The brand’s slogan is “Kebabs Done Right” at all of its outlets. And he boasts that his food is “nutritionally healthy and balanced” and a “gourmet experience”.
The meat is imported from Germany while the vegetables are locally sourced.
In a statement on its website, the company said: “We opened our first store in Berlin in 1989 and spent the next decade perfecting our policies and procedures, our unique blend of traditional spices and proprietary products, as well as to refine and improve our innovation. cooking process.
“Our kebabs are made from quality ingredients exclusive to Doner Kebab restaurants. The great taste comes from the SECRET SAUCES that sets our products apart from our competitors.
“We use succulent lean beef and pure chicken fillets. These meats are imported directly from Germany to maintain quality and consistency.
“We only use locally produced fresh vegetables which are delivered and prepared daily with our special Doner Kebab bread. This makes Doner Kebab a truly unique taste experience for our customers.

The fare offered includes “well done kebabs” the original, in a durum wheat wrap, a Turkish Lahmacun wrap, a lower calorie version and a vegetarian kebab.
But also kebabs made differently – including doner meat in many forms including quesadillas, burgers including a Doritos-branded Krunch version, a doner with fries and cheese and a doner gym box containing up to to 44g of protein.
There are junior versions for children. And doner boxes with fries and salad. Or a veggie burger if meat isn’t your thing
There’s a range of sides from spring rolls and doner nachos, to chili cheese bites, four versions of fries – plain, cheese, flambé and curry.
And a range of sauces and toppings to mix with spicy, garlic, yogurt and melted cheese sauces. And feta cheese, jalapenos, pickles, and flambé and curry spices.

The new Sutton restaurant will join two others in Birmingham at Bull Street in the city center and another in Moseley. With other West Midlands outlets in Burton-upon-Trent, Coventry, Walsall and West Bromwich.
Plans have been submitted to modify the storefront, install equipment and display new signs outside the premises.
The new restaurant is expected to create 30 new jobs, 15 full-time and 15 part-time. The proposed opening hours have yet to be confirmed.

It would be the latest addition to the city’s restaurant district and would be the second major chain to open in Sutton Coldfield in recent months after Taco Bell arrived nearby in November.
