Enjoy a banana leaf buffet at The Banana Leaf Kitchen in Johor Bahru
There’s just something about eating meals out of a banana leaf that makes food more delicious than usual. If you haven’t tried it, or if you already have and love it anyway, you should definitely go to banana leaf cooking for the first all-you-can-eat banana leaf buffet in Johor Bahru.
Located nearby Legoland, this spacious restaurant serves up piles of steamed food on your banana leaf starting with three types of vegetables, followed by a huge serving of briyani or white rice. From there, choose your favorite dishes from the variety of sides in front of you!
Love a good Lamb curry? They got it. What would you say chicken 65? They have it too. (For those not in the know, Chicken 65 is an actual spicy deep-fried chicken dish from the Buhari Hotel, Chennai, India!)

Load your banana leaf with anything you want, including fried onion omelet and (my favorite) papadom – and don’t forget to top it all off with a good helping of piping hot curry. Fancy fish curry, chicken curry Where dal curry?
eat whatever you want (or can)enjoy multiple servings of your favorite dishes, and at the end, don’t forget to end your meal on a sweet note with a sweet rice dessert.
The buffet costs $6.30 for adults (RM20), and $3.16 for children (RM10) – so it certainly offers more than good value for money.

Alternatively, if you’re not so fond of an all-you-can-eat banana leaf buffet (whyiii)you can also feel free to try the Banana leaf specials available on the menu – from homemade mutton curry and fish head curry at beet poriyal, puri chicken chettinad and more.
Gather your most gourmet friends or family, it’s time to test your stomachs with this banana leaf buffet!
