Clerk Fans: Kevin Smith-themed Mooby’s Fast Food Experience Comes to Denver
The latest in a series of pop culture pop-ups to arrive in Denver, this one is the rare event that the creator endorsed and doesn’t just cash in on a cinematic trend, hell the right of it. ‘author. Mooby’s was the fictional fast food restaurant of Clerk, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob; it will be recreated at Globe Hall in all its purple, yellow and orange splendor.
The pop-up restaurant will open on Friday, May 28, with a race that will run until Sunday, June 6, at the site at 4483 Logan Street. Customers can make reservations and pre-order food starting at 11 a.m. on May 11.
There will be classic Mooby’s menu items as well as vegan alternatives, and New Belgium Brewing has designed a Mooby’s beer for the occasion. Customers can take out their food or eat inside or outside at Globe Hall.
While waiting for their food, fans can take selfies in Kevin Smith’s world, browse merchandise at Silent Bob’s Secret Stash Merch pop-up store, and shop for Jay and Silent Bob merchandise, including something not years old. 90: COVID-19 non-medical masks.
Globe Hall co-owner Gwen Campbell says the concept has proven successful in pop-ups in Austin and St. Louis, and her Denver venue is eager to host the experience.
