Chick-fil-A Named Best Fast Food Restaurant by American Customers

There’s a fast food chain that Americans can’t get enough (or eat) of.

For eight consecutive years, Chick-fil-A tops US Customer Satisfaction Index restaurant study.

Chick-fil-A received a customer satisfaction score of 83, the same score as the previous year.

Jimmy John’s finished second with a score of 79, followed by Domino’s and KFC with scores of 78 each.

At the other end, McDonald’s fried in the rankings with the lowest score of 68.

The study was based on reviews from over 20,100 customers, all randomly selected and surveyed between April 2021 and March 2022.

ACSI said customers were asked about their recent experiences at America’s top restaurants, and they included an umbrella category of “everyone else” for regional chains that weren’t on the list, like Whataburger. .

Overall, fast food restaurants received a satisfaction score of 76 and “all others” received a score of 79.

Full-service restaurants, however, got better ratings.

Longhorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse each had satisfaction scores of 80, followed by Cracker Barrel and Fridays, which each had scores of 78.

“Customer satisfaction is a driving force that impacts the financial prospects of individual businesses and the health of the U.S. economy as a whole,” the study states. “New American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI®) results provide customer satisfaction benchmarks for the full-service restaurant and quick-service restaurant industries.”
